Chicago named nation's No. 2 travel destination in Conde Nast Traveler

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago has been named the nation's No. 2 travel destination according to the annual Readers' Choice Awards in Condé Nast Traveler.

Chicago moved up from No. 3 last year, passing San Francisco. Charleston took the top spot.

Condé Nast Traveler also named 20 Chicago hotels to the list of the nation's best hotels. The Virgin Hotel Chicago and Thompson Chicago claimed the #1 and #2 spots in the top 10 list of best U.S. hotels.
