CHICAGO (WLS) -- People gathered Friday to honor famed Hyde Park attorney Clarence Darrow on the 78th anniversary of the death.

Flowers were tossed this morning off the Darrow Bridge in Jackson Park. Darrow's ashes were scattered there after his death.

Darrow is best known for his role as "attorney for the damned" in cases like the Scopes Monkey trial and the Leopold and Loeb murder case.
