Target employees lament store's closing with 'Closing Time' cover

As the store they had worked in was scheduled to be permanently shuttered, Canadian Target employees paid a touching tribute to their store's closing by singing the Semisonic classic "Closing Time."

Liam McDonald, Kyle Vanderberg, Evan Holbein, Liam Kelly, and Brady Zomer gave a sad eulogy to their fading workplace, performing the song as the three-man band was wheeled around the abandoned store.

"For one final goodbye to our store, a few talented team members allowed me to film them singing Closing Time," videographer Eric Deibert wrote on YouTube. "A testament to their talent, they did this with no practice."

As their store closes and their futures uncertain, the song's lyrics offer the young men hope: "Every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end."
