PRAIRIE GROVE, Ill. (WLS) -- Police in far northwest suburban Prairie Grove are investigating a reported phone scam targeting ComEd customers.

Police say those allegedly running the scam claim to be representatives from ComEd and threaten to disconnect power unless the customer pays them immediately. The customer is then instructed to pay via a Pay Pal Card.
