As protestors continue to express their outrage over the police shooting death of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri, about a dozen protestors were arrested, including clergy member and notable activist Cornel West.



Over 1,000 people turned up for the Ferguson October rally on Monday.

The protestors were taking place in a "Ferguson October" rally which had drawn in hundreds of attendees. Protestors marched towards the Ferguson police station in an act of civil disobedience, demanding justice for the death of Michael Brown.


The academic has been a long known advocate of racial equality.

Eighteen-year-old Michael Brown was shot and killed on August 9 by a police officer named Darren Wilson in Ferguson, Missouri. The shooting then prompted a wave of protests in the following days, demanding justice over Brown's shooting.
