Daddy-daughter dance hosted by Black Star Project

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Dozens of Chicago fathers and daughters take part in an annual pre-Valentine's Day event Saturday.

The 6th annual Black Star Project's Daddy-Daughter Dance was held at the Art and Design Academy in the 1000-block of East 47th Street.

One hundred fathers showed up with their daughters.

Organizers say when little girls have a good relationship with their dad it leads to improved educational and social outcomes.
