Daily Herald: Security at DuPage County courtrooms

DuPage is the only collar county in which full-fledged sheriff's deputies are used to provide courtroom security, a much more expensive option than other counties where low-paid bailiffs and other courtroom staff do the job. And in light of discussion that more security is needed in DuPage courtrooms, we take a look at the security staffing cost-per-courtroom. In DuPage it's almost double that of other courtrooms.
