Delays slow morning taffic on outbound Dan Ryan

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Holiday travelers encountered delays on the outbound Dan Ryan between 47th Street and 60th Street Wednesday morning, said ABC7 Traffic Reporter Diane Pathieu.

Barricades were placed by crews due to roadwork, forcing all of the traffic out of the express lanes and into the local lanes.

As a result, only one lane was open in that area.

At about 6:30 a.m., crews had begun lifting the barricade, but traffic could still be seen as Chopper 7HD hovered over the area.

Lanes have been re-opened.
