Prosecutors are asking a court to reject Drew Peterson's appeal of his murder conviction.
They filed a 60-page response to Peterson's arguments, which claim that no physical evidence or witnesses connect him to the death of his third wife, Kathleen Savio.
Testimony in her case focused on statements Savio made to others before she died.
Peterson gained notoriety after his fourth wife, Stacy Peterson, disappeared in 2007.
In 2012 he was convicted of killing Savio and sentenced to 38 years in prison.
