ELGIN, Ill. (WLS) -- The FBI is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest after a bank was robbed Monday morning in northwest suburban Elgin.

The robbery happened at the PNC Bank branch at 28 N. Grove St. about 10 a.m., according to Elgin police.

A man made a threatening demand for money and ran away with an undisclosed amount of cash, according to police and the FBI. No one was hurt.

He is described as a black man about 35, 5-foot-11 to 6-foot-1 and 180 pounds. He was wearing a black hat, sunglasses and gray or tan fleece, authorities said.
