ABC's 'Rising Star' debuts Sunday

CHICAGO (WLS) -- ABC is inviting its audiences to pick the next big music star. The network's newest show, "Rising Star," lets the audience decide whether a singer moves on in competition or if they go home in real time using the show's app.

During the performances, viewers can vote via the app to determine the performer's fate. If the voting reaches a set threshold, the performer moves on.

The show will be hosted by Josh Groban and feature musical advice from experts Brad Paisley, Kesha and Ludacris. "Rising Star" debuts Sunday at 8 p.m. on ABC. To download the app, click here.
