'Chi-Raq' showing some box office success

CHICAGO (WLS) -- The controversial film "Chi-Raq" is showing some success at the box office this weekend.

The numbers are still coming, but the film director Spike Lee shot in Chicago made more than $1 million Friday, and could hit the $3 million mark by the end of Sunday.

The film opened with a limited release across the country.

Amazon is expected to release the movie later this month.
