CHICAGO (WLS) -- The sound of good music and the smell of good food filled the air on Daley Plaza on Thursday afternoon as the Loop got a preview of a music festival that helps farmers.
The 30th anniversary show of Farm Aid will be Saturday, Sept. 19 at First Merit Bank Pavilion on Northerly Island.
Willie Nelson headlines the music festival, which he started back in 1985 to help struggling farmers. Other acts include John Mellencamp and Dave Matthews.
Farm Aid has raised more than $48 million in its 30-year run.
