CHICAGO (WLS) -- A Southwest Side hospital is suing to block a music festival from opening in Douglas Park next week.
St. Anthony Hospital is across the street from the park where "Riot Fest" is set to open Friday.
The hospital claims the festival's loud music and crowds will have "a devastating impact" on its patients' health and safety.
A spokesman for Riot Fest claims the hospital demanded to be paid $158,000.
"It is unfortunate that St. Anthony officials are taking a festival that should be seen as a vibrant and positive addition to the community and are trying to use it for ulterior motives," a Riot Fest spokesman said.
