A one-and-done flu pill could soon be available in the U.S. The drug, called baloxavir marboxil, shortens influenza infection with a single dose.
It has earned a "priority review" from the FDA and, if approved, has the chance of hitting the market in 2019.
That's right in time for the upcoming flu season.
Last year was one of the worst flu seasons for children.
The drug is already available in Japan.
