FONTANA, Calif. -- A Fontana family found a time capsule hidden inside a wall while renovating their home. The small ziplock packet was left in 1978.

It includes a note written by a 12-year-old boy, some coins, a McDonald's coupon and other newspaper clippings to prove the date.

"Hello to whoever finds this. My name is Robert Wright. Today my dad is putting up paneling. Today is November 18th, 1978, 15 till 12:00 noon. I'm 12 years old and a student at Fontana JR. High, 7th grade. I am 5'3, blond hair, hazel eyes. Here is proof of the date. Robert Wright," the note read.

Greg Sandoval says he made the discovery several years ago. At the time, he tried searching for Robert Wright on Facebook, but didn't have any luck.

"I thought it was really cool because, I mean, not a lot of people do that, you know, and it's one of those things that what are the chances of tearing down one section of the house and finding something like that," Sandoval said.

After all these years, Sandoval says he can't find it in his heart to throw the time capsule away.
