Gary, Ind. churches serve meals to hungry

GARY, Ind. (WLS) -- A group of churches is serving free meals to the hungry in northwest Indiana, as people gathered at 5th Avenue and Broadway in Gary for a hot plate of food.

This is the 20th year for the annual Christmas Eve tradition.

The churches say their goal is to provide a hot meal to anyone in need.
