A frightening attack was caught on camera and posted to social media and what you see could be connected to an even worse crime.

FRESNO, Calif. -- Video of a parking lot attack that may be connected to a summer shooting was posted on social media over the weekend.

On Saturday afternoon at the University Inn across the street from Fresno State University, at least one camera was recording as a teenage girl brutally stomped on another.

A hotel employee said she called police, but by the time officers got there, everyone was gone. Police said they were called to that address, but no report was filed.

Witnesses were hesitant to speak publicly about what they saw, but one said the teen who inflicted the most damage had a heavy hand and a Taser.

The witness says after a shooting in southeast Fresno in July of 2015, police arrested the alleged attacker's 15-year-old brother on attempted murder charges. The case is about to go to trial. Witnesses to the fight said the attacker seemed to believe the victim snitched on her brother.

Police said there is a clear assault in the video, but without a victim to contact, it's tough to investigate.

The victim told KFSN-TV she had no comment.
