GLEN ELLYN, Ill. (WLS) -- A goose is being nursed back to health after it was attacked by a group of kids in the northwest suburbs.
An intern with the Fox Valley Wildlife Center saw the animal being kicked by some children near Batavia High School and intervened, the center said.
The goose suffered trauma to its wings, body and neck. After being taken to Fox Valley, it was transferred to the Willowbrook Wildlife Center in Glen Ellyn. The goose is expected to recover from its injuries.
Illinois Department of Natural Resources investigators are trying to identify the kids responsible to make sure it doesn't happen again.
