Grinch issues special warning to speeding Florida Keys drivers

MARATHON, Fla. (WLS) -- Police in the Florida Keys have come up with a smelly way to keep drivers from speeding in school zones during the holidays.

An officer dressed up as the Grinch handed out onions instead of tickets to drivers going over the speed limit.

Imagine drivers' surprise when they were let off the hook with just a fragrant vegetable warning.

Officer Grinch wasn't as easy on drivers who were going more than ten miles over the speed limit. Those drivers received tickets.
