A nail and two thumbtacks were found in Halloween candy given out in Coldwater, Mich., according to a northern Indiana police department.
A firefighter from Fremont, Ind., located about 20 miles south of Coldwater, reported the objects in the candy, which his children picked up while trick-or-treating in Coldwater.
In response, the Fremont Police Department issued a Facebook warning on Tuesday to check children's candy. They also indicated that no reports of tampered candy were reported in the Fremont area.
The Coldwater Police Department is investigating, according to Fremont authorities.
