HARVEY, Ill. (WLS) -- Investigators are looking into what sparked a fire that destroyed a house in south suburban Harvey.

Flames broke out just after 10 p.m. Tuesday night on Loomis Avenue near 153rd Street. No one was living in the home, but neighbors said squatters may have been staying there.

No injuries were reported.

Neighbors on each side were evacuated in case the fire spread. The Red Cross helped them find a place to stay. They will likely be allowed back in their homes later on Wednesday.

Authorities said they do not believe the fire on Loomis Avenue related to other recent fires in Harvey.
