Man killed in NW Indiana crash

SCHERERVILLE, Ind. -- A man was killed in a crash in northwest Indiana early Friday.

Richard Day, 53, of Hebron, Ind., was involved in a crash on U.S. Highway 30 near Sunset Boulevard in Schererville, Ind., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

Day was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where he was pronounced dead at 1:35 a.m., according to the medical examiner's office.

Schererville police could not immediately provide additional details.
