High school grad talks after back-flip fail

CHICAGO, Ill. (WLS) -- Graduating high school should help you get ahead in life. John Turcios decided to take that literally on Sunday.

"I was walking down the aisle, my friend was like 'do a back flip.'"

Luckily, he's feeling just fine. And after this video surfaced on Twitter, the Warren Township High School graduate became a social media sensation-29,000 retweets... and even a mention on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night.

"they really should make him give the diploma back."

Turns out Turcios tried this before, with the same result.

"Face plant... epic fail."

His friend Tatianna Ramirez, who captured the infamous moment, says this is classic John.

"I was just expecting something wild to come out of it. I didn't expect it to be this big or for him to fail like that," she says.

And she didn't expect her Twitter profile to reach the masses either.

"My phone keeps freezing and it's really annoying."

But they're happy they caught Kimmel's attention.

"Jimmy Kimmel... you... you sexy man. Hit me up. Maybe we can grab a bite... they like sushi in Cali right? Lattes... Vegetarian," they list off together.

Well Jimmy, maybe if you meet Turcios, he'll finally stick the landing.
