Highland Park couple died of carbon monoxide poisoning, officials said

HIGHLAND PARK, Ill. (WLS) -- Carbon monoxide poisoning is suspected after a couple was found dead Tuesday night inside their north suburban home, officials said.

Fire crews were called to the Highland Park home on Golf Avenue after the couple's son found his parents unconscious.

Investigators said it appears the family's car was left running in a garage.
