ROSENBERG, TX -- Ever wonder what really goes on inside a police patrol car? Here's your chance to take a peek inside. And the truth is, police officers are just like everyone else.

They listen to music. They sing along. And sometimes, they get their groove on, just a little bit.

"We're just kind of singing and thinking, what can we do to bridge the gap between the police and the community because we want to show the community we're not your enemy," said Rosenberg PD Officer Raynell Roy. "We're your friends."

"These are our true selves," added his partner, Aerial Ronell. "When we get in the patrol car, we're just normal people. We just want to express having fun and that opens up the door.

The Rosenberg Police Department has a history of interacting with the community and maintaining a sense of openness with their residents, particularly on social media. Back in January, a video post of an officer stopping to play catch with a young boy went viral as well.
