Police release photo of SUV allegedly involved in hit-and-run that injured crossing guard

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police released a picture of the SUV they say was involved in a hit-and-run crash that seriously injured a school crossing guard.

Investigators hope the picture will help them locate the driver. The crash happened January 12 at 127th and Union.

Kristy Young had just helped one group of students cross the street and was going to get another group of children when she was struck. She suffered broken bones and a lacerated liver.
