Police search for driver in Ashburn hit-and-run

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police are asking for help in finding the driver of a car involved in a hit-and-run that seriously injured a woman in the city's Southwest Side.

Detectives say a surveillance camera captured the grey or silver car back on Sept. 15 when the victim was struck in the crosswalk at 84th Street and Kedzie.

Police say the driver, an African American woman wearing a green shirt, got out of the car for a brief moment before driving away.
