It's going to be a big weekend for planting, as the weather warms up and the chances for frost are pretty much gone.
Gardening experts say right now is the time to focus on boxwoods and other plants. Winter was tough on a lot of landscaping this year.
Jennifer Brennan from Chalet Nursery joined ABC7 News at 11 to share gardening advice, like how to revive boxwoods, why it's a good idea to remove dead plants at this point in the season and what is safe to plant.
Brennan has a free class coming up called "It's Thyme for Herbs". It will be held on Thursday, May 23, and Friday, May 24, at the Chalet Learning Center in north suburban Wilmette.
