CHICAGO (WLS) -- A homeless encampment is now empty after the city evicted residents from their tents.
The property was sold to a developer and construction is about to begin.
Chicago officials said the residents have been offered other shelter.
ABC7 Eyewitness News recently reported on another homeless encampment in Uptown, living under the viaducts along Lake Shore Drive, who said they have been harassed by the city in an attempt to clear them out.
