SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WLS) -- A group of Republican lawmakers say Illinois Auditor General Frank Mautino can't properly do his job while under investigation for questions about his campaign spending.

They've filed a resolution aimed at removing him from office.

The investigations cover Mautino's spending during his time as a Democratic state lawmaker.

ABC7 Eyewitness News reached out to Mautino's staff for comment but have not received a response.
