BROADVIEW, Ill. (WLS) -- A protest in the western suburbs Thursday hoped to send a message to President Obama to stop the deportations of some immigrants.

Church leaders and community activists marched in Broadview, Ill. They are making a stand with two families and three other individuals who are refugees from Mexico and Central America, all in danger of deportation.

The Chicago Office of Homeland Security did not respond to ABC7's requests for comment.
