India Day marked with parade, celebration

NAPERVILLE, Ill. (WLS) -- The 69th anniversary of India's independence from British colonial rule was marked with a parade in the western suburbs on Sunday.

The historic milestone was celebrated with Naperville's first-ever India Day Parade.

People marched through the streets riding on floats and sampled the country's diverse culture with food, crafts and musical performances.
