NEW YORK (WLS) -- Apple is recalling iPhone chargers in 37 countries.
The company's website says its 5W adapter "may overheat and pose a safety risk."
The recall is for chargers sold with the iPhone 3G, 4 and 4S between 2009 and 2012.
Anyone with a faulty charger can get a new one for free, according to the notice.
France, Germany and Egypt are among the countries affected. The United States and the United Kingdom are not affected by the recall.
