Driver airlifted to hospital after crashing into pole in Lemont

LEMONT, Ill. (WLS) -- Emergency crews are on the scene of a serious crash in southwest suburban Lemont.

A car reportedly slammed into a pole and sustained significant damage near the intersection of State and Division streets.

The victim was airlifted to Loyola University Medical Center. There is no word yet on the victim's condition.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
