Teens among 4 hurt in Little Village shooting, Chicago police say

Four young people were among the victims in a Southwest Side shooting on Sunday, Chicago police said.

The shooting happened at about 3:02 a.m. in the 2500-Block of South Washtenaw Avenue, police said.

A 14-year-old boy's right arm was grazed by a bullet; two 16-year-old girls were shot in the legs; and an 18-year-old was shot in the right buttocks, police said.

All victims were taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital and are expected to recover.

Man shot Saturday morning in Englewood, CPD say

A man was shot on Saturday morning in the Englewood neighborhood, according to police.

The shooting happened at about 10:06 a.m. in the 7300-Block of South Carpenter Street, police said.

A 32-year-old was outside when two people approached him and started to shoot.

The man was taken to St. Bernard with three gunshot wounds to the lower body.

No other injuries were reported.

38-year-old shot while driving in Lawndale, Chicago police say

A 38-year-old man was shot on Friday night in Lawndale, Chicago police said.

The shooting happened at about 8:40 p.m. in the 4100-Block of South Karlov Avenue, police said.

CPD said the man was driving when he felt pain. He drove to another location where paramedics with the Chicago Fire Department treated him.

He was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital with a gunshot wound to the hand.

He is expected to be OK.

Two women shot while sitting in car in Garfield Park, police say

Two women were shot while sitting inside a car on Chicago's West Side on Friday night, police said.

Police said the shooting happened in the Garfield Park neighborhood near West Huron Street and North Avers Avenue just before 9 p.m.

Police said the women, 31 and 32, were sitting in the gray vehicle when they heard gunshots and realized they had been hit.

Both were expected to be OK.
