At least 18 shot, 6 fatally, in weekend gun violence across city

At least 18 people have been shot, six fatally, in shootings across Chicago this weekend, police said.

This weekend's gun violence comes after at least 58 people were shot, eight fatally, across the city over the long Labor Day holiday weekend last week.

Man shot, killed in Austin

Chicago police are investigating a deadly shooting Sunday evening in the Austin neighborhood.

Police said a 32-year-old man was shot several times about 7:30 p.m. in the 4800 block of West Fulton Street.

The victim was rushed to the hospital, but did not survive, CPD said. His identity was not yet known.

No arrests have been made as police continue to investigate.

Woman, teenage boy injured in South Shore shooting: police

A woman and a teenage boy were injured in a South Side shooting on Sunday morning, Chicago police said.

Police said the shooting happened in the South Shore neighborhood's 6700-block of South Cregier Avenue around 10 a.m.

15-year-old shot in Morgan Park, CPD says

A 15-year-old boy was shot in Morgan Park on Sunday, police said.

The shooting happened at about 1:30 a.m. in the 900-block of W. 111th Street, police said.

The 15-year-old was outside when he heard a gunshot and felt pain.

He self-transported to an area hospital with a gunshot wound to his left foot; he is expected to be OK.
