CHICAGO (WLS) -- The Illinois primary election for the 2026 midterms is Tuesday.
The polls closed at 7 p.m.

Polls are expected to close at 7 p.m. across Illinois, and results should come in after that.
LaShawn Ford is projected to win the Democratic nomination for U.S. House in Illinois' 7th Congressional District, according to the Associated Press.
