Super Bowl Experience NFL Shop officially opens at SF's Moscone Center

On Tuesday, the Super Bowl Experience kicks off at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. But on Sunday, its NFL Shop opened to the public.

But on Sunday, its NFL Shop opened to the public.

The 30,000 square foot showroom features officially licensed NFL gear for all 32 teams, as well as collectible, limited edition and exclusive Super Bowl 60 products.

"This is our big shop that we put in every host city when we host the Super Bowl so, (butt) amazing opportunity to get really custom merch, beautiful souvenirs for the Super Bowl and we're so excited to open our doors," said Nicki Ewell, NFL vice president of Events.

The NFL Shop at the Super Bowl Experience is open every day through Saturday.

Happening Monday, the federal government will be flying helicopters over the San Francisco Bay as part of Super Bowl safety preps.

The Department of Energy's National Nuclear Security Administration will be operating the flights, which it says are a normal part of security and emergency preparations.

These low-altitude flights are expected Monday through Wednesday.

SF Mayor Daniel Lurie vows 'safe experience' Super Bowl week as 1.3 million travelers expected

The countdown is on as the Bay Area gets ready to host Super Bowl 60 at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara.

San Francisco Mayor Daniel Lurie says the city is prepared to welcome football fans worldwide.

"Now that you've landed, we're ready to show the world what makes the Bay so special," said a virtual Steve Young at San Francisco International Airport.

A hologram of the Super Bowl-winning quarterback is greeting arriving fans at SFO.

"I am confident we will provide a safe, welcoming experience for everyone coming to San Francisco," said Mayor Daniel Lurie.

The airport is expecting big travel numbers for Super Bowl Week.

US and Mexico flag football teams to play a game during Super Bowl week in an Olympic preview

The week of the Super Bowl next month in San Francisco will feature not one but two marquee flag football games.

It's just another way to gain even more exposure for the game ahead of flag football's Olympic debut at the 2028 Los Angeles Games.

First, the NFL's elite take the field on Feb. 3 as part of the Pro Bowl festivities. Then, the flag football specialists will stage an exhibition match two days later, with Team USA taking on rival Mexico.

In LA two years from now, the roster could very well be a mix of NFL players - or former players - and flag football experts. USA Football, the national governing body for the sport, will select and train the men's and women's teams ahead of the Olympics.
