Broad daylight knifepoint robberies reported in West Loop

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Police are warning people in the West Loop area to be on alert.

A man with a knife is behind two robberies that happened in broad daylight.

The most recent was near Jefferson and Harrison at 6 p.m. on June 30. Another happened at Washington and Canal at 10 a.m.

Police say the man took money and cell phones while threatening his victims with a knife.

Police have only a vague description.
