Man shot in the head in South Shore

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A man was critically injured after being shot in the head in the city's South Shore neighborhood, police said.

The shooting took place around 11 a.m. Wednesday near 84th Street and Essex, police said. The victim was hospitalized in critical condition, and details about the alleged offender are unknown.
