Maryland police pursue vehicle in wild chase: VIDEO
A College Park police chase involving a Maryland State Highway Administration ended in Montgomery County, MD.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. -- Maryland State Police pursued a Maryland State Highway Administration roadside assistance vehicle in Prince George's and Montgomery counties Friday night, WJLA reported.

The vehicle was seen driving through traffic and hitting several other vehicles along the way during the pursuit.

Around 6:25 p.m., officers were able to corner the vehicle and approach the driver. Several officers surrounded the vehicle and successfully broke the windows in an attempt to apprehend the suspect.

Officers then opened the car door and worked to handcuff the suspect. At this time, it is unknown if the suspect is injured or if other injuries have been reported.

WJLA learned the chase started in College Park before continuing into the Calverton area and ending in White Oak, in Montgomery County.

There is a large police presence at the final scene as officers canvass the area and search the vehicle. The identity of the driver is unknown at this time. We are working to learn what led up to the pursuit.
