McDonald's owners give away free turkeys

CHICAGO (WLS) -- More than 1,200 turkeys were given to people in need on Tuesday at the annual ""Food for the Body and Spirit" program.

People lined up at a McDonald's on the city's West Side for free birds.

The Black McDonald's Operators Association provided the turkeys and planning more giveaways for Thursday and Saturday at various locations.
