ROSELLE, Ill. (WLS) -- Parents are scrambling after a suburban school closed suddenly one week before the new school year was set to begin.
The Walsh family has 7-year-old twins who attended Medinah Christian School in the northwest suburbs. On Tuesday night, they received an email notifying them the school would close.
The email cited the resignations and low enrollment as two reasons the school is closing. For the Walsh daughters, the news was tough to hear.
"They were sad and they started to cry because you know, their friends, they miss their friends and their teachers," mother Cherish Walsh said.
Walsh has already enrolled her daughters at another school. Medinah Christian School administrators have not commented.
