Witnesses save man from getting hit by Metra train in New Lenox

NEW LENOX, Ill. (WLS) -- Good Samaritans saved a man from getting hit by a Metra train in south suburban New Lenox, and the crash was caught on camera.

The driver got the front of his truck onto the tracks and several other motorists pulled the man from his truck. They saved him just moments before a Metra equipment train smashed into it.

The truck driver is OK.

No passengers were on the train.
