Metra prepares switches for winter weather

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Metra is ready to fight the ice and snow this winter with covers and supercharged heaters for its most critical system switches.

The rail service also has alternative schedules that it says it will use when extreme weather conditions disrupt service.
