Mokena cancels after school activities after threat

MOKENA, Ill. -- Classes were held Tuesday in south suburban Mokena, but students were not allowed outdoors during a soft lockdown at the elementary, middle and junior high schools.

After school activities were also canceled and visitors were not allowed inside the buildings.

School officials said the district received a threatening phone call Tuesday morning.
