CHICAGO (WLS) -- A Chicago high school boys' basketball team is vowing to boycott an upcoming game due to the size of their gym.
Morgan Park is scheduled to host Simeon on Saturday, but not at their home gym. The game was moved because Morgan Park's gym is too small for the expected crowd.
Parents hope this boycott brings their fight for better facilities to the forefront.
"We're trying to get a bigger picture across. It's not just about a game. Everyone's just missing a part when they think it's about a game. It's always something bigger than that," said Tiffany Burrell, a player's mother.
CPS did not comment on the planned boycott, but said the game will be held at Gwendolyn Brooks Prep Academy, which can accommodate the crowd.
