Beverly man charged with murder in Garfield Ridge

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police have charged Dannee Brewer, 23, with first degree murder in a Jan. 16 shooting in Garfield Ridge.

Police say on the morning of Jan. 16 they responded to a call of a man shot in the 4500-block of South Cicero Avenue. The 37-year-old victim was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital with a gunshot wound to the torso, where he died.

Brewer is due in bond court on Sunday.
