Hammond man, 28, charged in fatal stabbing at bar

HAMMOND, Ind. (WLS) -- A northwest Indiana man has been charged in connection with a stabbing at a bar that left a Whiting father of two dead last weekend.

Roberto Valentine Lebron, 28, of Hammond, was charged with murder in the stabbing death of Joshua Michael Headley, 28, early last Sunday night.

Police were responding to a call about a fight at Franco's Bar in the 2700-block of Condit Street in Highland, and found Headley bleeding from a stab wound to his chest. Headley later died at Community Hospital in Munster.
